Kitchen Order (send order to kitchen or not)

KOKABOOKSPOS for restaurants includes a kitchen feature that allows you to send orders to the kitchen for preparation. However, not all orders need to be prepared. In this document, we’ll explain how to use this feature effectively.

Enabling the Kitchen Feature:

  • 1. To use the kitchen feature, you need to enable it.
  • 2. Navigate to the POS screen in KOKABOOKSPOS.
  • 3. On the POS screen, you will notice a checkbox. When this checkbox is checked, it signifies that the order should be sent to the kitchen for preparation.
  • 4. Orders without this checkbox checked will not be sent to the kitchen. They will be treated differently, such as for immediate service or other specific requirements.

Can a separate printer be added to UltimatePOS for printing Kitchen Orders?

Currently, UltimatePOS does not support adding multiple printers. The same printer used for receipt printing must also be used for kitchen order printing.

Sending Kitchen Orders from Kitchen Screen to Orders Screen

1. Kitchen Screen
  • Orders added here remain until manually updated.
  • To send an order to the Orders Screen, click the “Mark as Cooked” button.
  • This action indicates that the item is ready to be served.
2. Orders Screen
  • Once an item appears here, it means it has been cooked.
  • After serving the item to the customer, click the “Mark as Served” button.
  • This removes the item from the Orders Screen, indicating the process is complete.
